WORK IN PROGRESS

Half a millennium after Martin Luther's much over-rated Reformation, there's still loads of stuff that needs reforming in Christ's church. Particularly our structures and practices. I don't pretend to know the answers, or what God is planning to do about it. I just feel for the average, garden-variety Christian who lives under a ton of guilt, fear & shame because they feel they don't measure up to God's standards.

It may be because of legalistic preaching or perhaps the unwritten codes of the conformity-based system which we call 'church'.

"It's just darned hard to be diplomatic and tactful while pointing out flaws that can be seen from orbiting spacecraft, especially when those flaws are innoculating people against the church." [ Mega-Shift - by James Rutz ]

Research predicts that by 2025, only about 35% of American Christians will regularly attend a Sunday congregation. The exodus has already begun...  [ Revolution - by George Barna ]
